What’s the major difference between a Christian and an Unbeliever? Good works? Church attendance? Sinlessness? No
The blood of Christ. Jesus Christ is the difference.
Without faith in him, we are exactly the same as every Unbeliever: Sinners destined for hell and everlasting damnation.
Romans 6:23a For the wages of sin is death..
God is a righteous judge, He is perfect and holy.
And no matter how good we think we are, we are all sinners and fall short of His standard.
Ecclesiastes 7:20 For there is not a just man on earth who does good and does not sin.
But God is also loving, and in his infinite mercies He gave us a way out.
Christ.
Romans 6:23b ..but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
When we put our trust in Christ alone, He clothes us in His robe of righteousness. His sacrifice vindicates us so that we can stand blameless in front of the Father on Judgement Day!
2 Corinthians 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
Dear Christian. Please remember, it is not you who saved you from God’s wrath;
It is Christ.
It is not you who gave your life to Christ; but Christ who gave His life for you.
It is not you who chose God, but He who first chose you.
Put away boasting in your self-righteousness, good works or service because that DOESN’T give you right-standing with God. Christ alone does.
Instead of boasting in self, boast in Christ!
Let the fruits of your lips be praise to the One who gave it all for us.
Isaiah 61:10a “I will greatly rejoice in the Lord,
My soul shall be joyful in my God;
For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation,
He has covered me with the robe of righteousness..”
