A Penitent Heart

There is just one word that has been laid on my heart for 2017:

2017 needs to be a year of repentance. Now repentance should be, just as worship is, a lifestyle.
A lifestyle of turning away from dead works and putting aside every single dead weight of sin that so easily entangles.

Christ died to free us from the bondage of sin!

What are you still bound to? Repent and turn to God because the days are evil.

“True repentance will lead to deliverance..”

True repentance will lead to deliverance because it is not just another apology. It’s a grieving over sin and the act of changing your mind and attitude toward sin by studying the word and actively walking in the spirit.

You have a desire to be more intimate with God in 2017?
It starts with repentance. A godly sorrow over your sin and choosing holiness over worldly pleasures. God is holy and so our standard is also holy.

What was the voice in the wilderness crying? Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!

What would your walk with Christ look like if you repented immediately you came to the knowledge of your sin?

If you would humble yourself, get down on your knees and plead with God for mercy?

Don’t run from God. Boldly approach the throne of grace and obtain mercy. God loves you. His grace is sufficient for you and His power is made perfect in our weaknesses!

..But let us not become so presumptuous of our forgiveness that we no longer have a penitent heart.
